Bike time

We participated in Pedal for Prizes with a couple friends. It was a beautiful day to be outside and on our bikes. We rode around the Old Brooklyn neighborhood of Cleveland. The gist of the ride was to stop at various businesses or points of interest in the community. You received a punch at each stop and then at the end of the ride received a ticket to enter in a raffle for a variety prizes at the end of the ride.

It was a very leisurely ride. But was great to finally get our butts in the saddle after a long winter and rainy spring. We did have a bit of a mishap when one of our crew whipped out at the beginning of the ride. Nasty scrapped up knee, but I was prepared with a small first aid kit in my bag. All was well and we continued on our quest to win a prize. (None of us won! Boo!!!!)

We're looking forward to getting on our bikes more this summer than last. We did have a bit of a debacle while getting our bikes prepared for our ride. We'll just leave it at a popped tube and one frustrated lady. Good thing my husband was nearby to save the day. That and a trip to the bike store got us all fixed up and ready to ride.
